Product Development and Commercialisation

The Centre’s research activities are focused on addressing key challenges in healthcare product performance. Ensuring that knowledge generated by research can be practically exploited in new products requires cooperation with the manufacturing supply chain and commercial organisations. Based on successful research outcomes and the application of technical expertise, product prototyping and product development expertise is available on-site. There is also a dedicated Clothworkers Innovation Fund (CIF) to support proof of concept projects as well as commercialization activities associated with textile innovation.

The University hosts a number of Sector Hubs which provide a focus and strategic gateway to developing partnerships with industry and other partners. The Pharma Hub brings together expertise in physical and biological sciences to pioneer innovative approaches to drug discovery and help discover safe new drug delivery systems.
